In our excitement over finally getting this page on line, we jumped right into information about the Democratic caucuses that will be held the evening of March 16th. That is the next political event on the calendar, but perhaps a bit of introduction is also in order. Right now, this page is the work of two long-time residents of Monument. We’ve lived here for 18 years, our son is in a D38 school, and through our work as precinct chairs and campaign volunteers, we’ve met many of the progressives, Democrats, and vocal members of the Tri-Lakes community. One of us is to the left of the left, and the other not so much.
This page is for, about, and we hope, by that progressive community in Northern El Paso country. We know you’re out there: you’ve commented on our bumper stickers, given us a word of encouragement when we knocked on your door for the Obama campaign, maybe asked us for a yard sign.
That said, a word about who we are not–we are not the El Paso Democratic Party. Their web page is here. You should take a minute to check out their page, and to subscribe to their newsletter. Their focus is on the entire county, and ours is on the Tri-Lakes neighborhood.
